Our electricians are Darcy Wilkinson, Paul Lennox, Shaun Nicholson & Mike Day, all our electricians are registered and fully qualified. We also have two apprentices, Dean Gray who is in the last year of his qualification and Theo Hayes who is in the thrid year of his qualification.
Our vehicles are extensively stocked with quality materials with the hope that we have the material to repair most jobs while on site.
We have a securities license so all our staff are clear of any criminal convictions and are legally allowed to install security alarms.

Meet the Team
Darcy Wilkinson
Managing Director
Darcy has over 30 years of experience providing extensive electrical services. His career started with an apprenticeship with a local Wairarapa business. After which he went on to start Wilkinson Electrical in 1990 which was an owner operator business. In 1997 the decision was made to make the move north to Auckland. During this time Darcy formed a business of ten staff that specialised in extensive commercial and industrial installation and maintenance work, on prominent sites such as the Auckland Harbour Bridge, Brito Mart and underground repair work at the South Auckland Power Station just to name a few. After the arrivals of Darcy’s two sons, he and Suzie made the lifestyle move back to the Wairarapa. 2007 saw the beginning of Electrical Services, where Darcy is continuing in the industry which he is passionate about and together with his team is focused on providing safe, reliable and cost-effective solutions to residential, commercial and industrial clients across the Wairarapa region.
Shaun Nicholson
Senior Electrician
Shaun has been with Electrical Services for 11 years and specialises in new home wiring and fit out. He always keeps himself up to date with the current trends in the new home arena.
Paul Lennox
Senior Electrician
Paul joint Electrical Services in 2007 with an extensive background in all aspects of the electrical industry across residential, commercial and industrial.
Mike Day
Senior Electrician
Mike has been with Electrical services for 5 years however he has been an electrician for 12 years during this time he has worked in both the Australian and New Zealand electrical industries. Mike is our Heat Pump expert.
Pete Farmer
Senior Electrician
Pete came to Electrical Services in 2017 with over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. Not only in the areas of residential, commercial and industrial electrical work he also has been heavily involved in the wholesale side of the industry.
Dean Gray
Apprentice Electrician
Dean is the youngest team member of the Electrical Services team; he is fast approaching the completion of his Electrical Engineering (Electrician for Registration) qualification. Over the course of his apprenticeship he has work alongside our senior electricians who have shared their vast and varied experience and knowledge to assist him in becoming a Registered Electrician in the very near future.
Leanne Allen-Jones
Office Manager
Leanne is the most recent addition to the team, having joint Electrical Services in July 2019. She brought with her a wealth of administration and accounting knowledge.
